Discussion Saw V?
Q
Will Saw V be an NC-17 movie?
In everyone's opinion, do ya'll think that Saw V will be the first horror movie to be rated NC-17 for gore only when it comes out?
I just want to add that I am talking about Saw 5 and not Saw 4 and that it is indeed not a rumor, as the directors have confirmed it..."Tobin Bell has stated that he was signed on for a total of five sequels, and Producer Oren Koules confirmed on June 22, 2007 that both Saw V and VI are currently being written, quite possibly for a Halloween 2008 and 2009 release."
""It's really not [that fast]," he says. "Look at Law & Order. They do 24 episodes a year, 24 one-hour episodes with great writing, great production value. We're only doing one hour-and-40-minute, hour-and-50-minute movie a year. So we've already written? V's being written; VI is being written."

A. Orignally, Saw IV was (at comic con, director Darren Lynn Something confirmed that), but the studio made them tone it down to an R. Sorry.
A. Wasn't it always NC-17?
A. It should be NC-17 in my opinion, because putting it in with such great films such as "Before Sunrise" and "Little Miss Sunshine" is madness, but they, as they always have with the "Saw" series, will tune it down to R. They're all R, all because the Saw makers campaigned for it.
A. No, Saw IV will be rated R for the theaters but be sured that the DVD will mostly be unrated (like every other DVD on the market).
A. Saw 5 is only a rumor right now.
