A. He had to be a martyr for it to have to effect needed. Too many movies have the good guy prevailing over all and not even getting damaged. I didnt have any problem with him dying except there wont be any sequels. But thats the only problem. Great movie.
A. Yeah I like that movie, itīs coool!
A. My thoughts are...thanks for ruining the movie for me. I just picked it up from blockbuster this morning to finally watch it.
I wish you an extremely virulent form of syphillis
Good day
A. YEAH IT WAS STUPID HOW HE DIED AFTER HE TOLD EVEY THAT HE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER, WELL THE REASON THAT I THINK HE DIED WAS BCAUSE OF HIS COUNTYR. AND I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS GOOD JUST THAT PART THATHE DIES AND NEVER REVEALS HIS FACE TO HER THAT SUCKS
A. Great movie. Best version of "1984" I've seen. V died fighting for his cause. He was totally devoted to it. He had to participate in that last fight in the subway. He had been without fear for quite awhile but he needed to finish what he started, so others could carry on and be free.
A. The movie was based on the Graphic Novel. In the novel he died too. It's almost like a modern version of a Shakespearean trajedy. The story is more poignant with his death as a martyr for his cause.
A. I thought that movie was awesome!! I wish I could rattle off the V speech he made when he met her!! He had to die in the movie because he was a martyr. Great movie! I think I'll watch that one again tonight.
A. Well, the plot always works when it is something tragic or dramatic which I think what they did.
I agree that it mostly sucks specially when they actually don't do anything realistic to save the character than just cry and say goodbye words instead of transporting to the emergency room which would be more realistic like in Spiderman 3. The plot was good until the part Harry died which flips the rating for me from 5 star - 2 star.
A. Whew..And here I thought I needed to rent it...Guess I won't bother..Thanks for nothing...
A. He didn't die... Behind the mask was an idea, and ideas can't be killed.
A. I just rented that movie and was going to watch it tonight for the first time.
A. He died and she lived so she would learn that some things are worth being killed for. She carried on his plan after his death because the ideas he held live on long after the person that originates them leaves this earth. Not all movies need a happy romantic ending to be fantastic. I think this movie still had a great ending.
A. Great movie, great acting. Story line carried it through in a way very few modern movies do lately. I'm pretty picky about movies and don't really like a lot of movies I've seen lately, but this was a rarity.
As far as everything went with V dying, there was no other way for it to end. He spent the movie trying to save Evey and teach her all she needed to know. Once she was on her own he had fulfilled his mission and he no longer had a necessity to suffer in his life. He could die as a martyr. If he lived the movie would have been saccharine sweet and sort of a loser movie.
