This DreamWorks Animation comedy is the sequel to 2005.s Madagascar, in which a group of animals from the New York Zoo are marooned on the island of Madagascar. Now, they find themselves in the African wilderness where they meet up with the family of Alex the lion. They soon discover that city life has made communicating with the wild beasts of Africa a challenge. The film stars Ben Stiller as the voice of Alex, Jada Pinkett Smith as Gloria the hippo, Davis Schwimmer as Melman the Giraffe, and Chris Rock as Marty the Zebra. Cedric the Entertainer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Alec Baldwin, and Andy Richter also lend their voices to the film, out Nov. 7.
