What is the name of the 80's movie with the alien race car/death race, etc.?
The movie was about this guy who was murdered in a drag race or something and he comes back to life in this crazy silver delorian car. He starts racing the guys who killed him, killing them one by one by outrunning them, disappearing, then suddenly appearing blocking the road wherein the bad guy runs into the alien race car delorian thing exploding on the spot. The guy and the car keep coming back. Set in the desert. Used to come on late at night all the time. Ring any bells?

He doesn't get killed in a race...he gets murdered by the race car driver king and his gang....they shoot him with a shotgun ...put him in the trunk of his car and blow it up.He comes back as a Wraith,basically a revenge spirit.For everyone of the members he kills,he gets a piece of his soul back.
