A. Wow...didn't know anyone else even remembered that movie!!! I joke with my husband sometimes when someone is standing by the street waiting to cross...I call out how many points I could score!!! He never saw the movie. Yeah...maybe a good one to remake, but it would be easy to stray too far away from the original and nothing will ever compare to it!!!

The production company responsible for the 'Resident Evil' movies, the 'Alien vs. Predator' movies, and the upcoming movie adaption of the 'Castlevania' video game, spear-headed by director/producer Paul W.S. Anderson, is on the fast track to produce a remake of 'Death Race 2000', entitled 'Death Race 3000' (though I highly doubt the film actually takes place in the year 3000).
No director has been assigned, nor has any casting been announced; however, apparently actor/producer Tom Cruise's production company wants a hand in the film. If this is a case, we may just see Tom Cruise try to fill the shoes of David Carridine (HAAAA!!!! Highly unlikely.....,.and besides, hasn't Cruise already done his racing car movie already???)
