Discussion Seal?

SEAL teams question?

Is there any difference between the SEAL teams 1-10(besides 6), location, certian areas of combat there trained in more than the others, which is more likely too see combat, which one trains more, does each team train for certian areas of the world(if so, were?), which one will get more 'jump time, scuba, demolition, ect.' Thx No one tell me to ask my Recruiter. If you don't know the answer, don't answer the question.

A. If you even make it as a Navy Seal they will put you in the right team. The Seals look at what your strengths are and place you then.

A. these guys missions are classified. people who know anything really wont get into the inner workings of the SEALs with someone over the internet. sorry, not trying to be mean or anything, just the way it goes. the best info youll get is from a SEAL recruiter... honestly.

A. Well odd numbers are based on the West coast, evens on the East. Yes they have primary regions that they cover, but they can over lap a bit - especially during a war time situation. Regardless of which one, you will be required to log a certain amount of dive and jump time. I wouldn't say one group gets more experience than the other, it just depends on what your team is up to at any given time. I wouldn't worry about it though - you don't get a big choice in where you get to go. Its a small community so you get put where there is a need. You do get to make up a "wish list" at BUD/S. How you do in your class will determine if you get what you wish for. There are good points to each team. One and Two are the oldest though. There is a lot of tradition and knowledge in those two groups and they are some of the hardest to get into. Dev Group - what is commonly referred to as SEAL Team 6 - no body gets that right out of BUD/S so don't even think about it now.

A. each seal team has different areas they can cover but i guarantee that there is more than one seal team in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. they will put you where they need you and based on your strengths.
