Rodarte

The designers behind the label Rodarte, sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, hail from Pasadena, Calif. Arriving at New York Fashion Week in the spring of 2005, the self-taught sisters were quickly recognized by fashion critics and buyers for their ability to create inventive, intricate, and richly detail-oriented clothing.the kind that can usually be found only in Paris couture houses. The 20-somethings were nominated for the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for Best Emerging designer after just three seasons of showing.
