Something about the sweet simplicity of Mandy Moore’s brown eyes and genuine smile that endear her as “America’s Sweetheart”. The singer-cum actress first came upon the musical scene in 1999, releasing So Real. The album, and her following release I Wanna Be With You(2000), followed the pop princess trend of the day and produced two bubble gum hits “Candy” and “I Wanna Be With You”. In a market saturated with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson, Moore did not meet as much commercial success as her predecessors. Fortunately her musical style evolved and her following albums Mandy Moore, Coverage and Wild Hope were more popular critically and commercially. The songs “In My Pocket”, “Crush” and “Have a Little Faith in Me” gained popularity on television and radio. Moore is probably better know as an actress, starring in A Walk to Remember, How to Deal, Chasing Liberty, License to Wed, Because I Said So. She appeared in episodes of Scrubs and Entourage. Moore dated Wilmer Valderrama, Andy Roddick and Zach Braff, and was linked to DJ AM (Adam Goldstein). She is currently dating musician Greg Laswell.
