A New York City native, Laura Linney was born into a theatrical family. Her film career took off in the early 90s when she appeared in the films Lorenzo`s Oil and Dave with Kevin Kline. Her first big role was opposite Richard Gere and Edward Norton in Primal Fear. She later starred in Absolute Power with Clint Eastwood, The Truman Show, and Mystic River. She received an Oscar nod for her work in this film. Linney lives in Connecticut.
