American Dream, mogul, mom, model, and fashionista supreme: Kimora Lee is all of these and more. The multiracial star (Lee is half African-American, one quarter Korean, and one quarter Japanese) and St. Louis native got her first big break at age 13 when Chanel selected her as a model for the French house. Following an international modeling career, Kimora has served as an executive producer, philanthropist, author, and designer. Her urban chic line, Baby Phat, was founded in 1999 under Phat Farm Inc, a clothing line helmed by her ex-husband, Russell Simmons. The womenswear line has now expanded to the contemporary line KLS, footwear, handbags, jewelry, cosmetics, and fragrances. Kimora has also been featured on shows including America.s Next Top Model and her own reality show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane on E! TV network. She has stores across the globe including a flagship store in New York.s SoHo neighborhood.
