Does anyone know why the Inkheart movie release date has been changed to Jan. 30 2009?
The original release date was Mar. 18 2008.....isn't it a HUGE deal when there is that large of a set back?

Best AnswerIt was because of the writer's strike. The studio felt that they could not properly advertise the film on television. (Ratings are down overall because of all the reruns being shown.)
They also didn't want to release it later this year because the star, Brendan Fraser, has two other movies coming out in 2009, and they thought it would be overkill. Waiting until next year kind of avoided that problem.
