Discussion Eve?

Q
(Adam & Eve) - Was Eve framed since men wrote most of the Bible?
A
Best Answer
i don't think Eve was framed. Even though the bible was wrote by men, it was inspired by God. And most of the writers confessed of their faults, take King David for instants. He admitted to all his sinful ways. That is a hard thing to do, write all your faults down for others to read.

A. hahaha
A. More than likely.
A. "I didn't want to do it. She made me!" Nah, I'm sure it's all true. We tricked him into it.
A. Eve was fashioned, formed and framed by the Creator.
A. sometimes i think women are just crazy enough to deserve some of the blame in the bible, lol.
A. Only God knows for sure. But as a female and a Christian, I would have to say (jokingly) that a man would never take the blame for anything if he could blame it on his wife. (hehehehe)
A. No Eve was not framed. And her original name is Isha. Adam called her Eve after the fall. I Cr 13;8a
A. A resounding yes!! Adam took a bite of that apple too!!
A. During that era, men are mostly the MCP (Male chauvinist pig) type. So I guess most of it will condemn women eternally. And it stated the original sin was from Eve when she eaten from the tree of knowledge. What I see here is Eve is brave enough, due to her curiosity she ventured out and eat the fruit form the tree just so to see what will happen but than too late because curiosity kills the cat. And bring Adam along...poor Adam!
A. Most? Most??!! So which part of the bible was NOT written by men?
A. ^!!!!Error!!!! She was framed since the creation, for you information was wrote in several years ^
A. Well I think the snake was the bad guy, and he was male. Why does everyone forget the snake?

A. Trick question, since Adam and Eve didn't exist. But in the context of the Bible, the Genesis story reeks of sexism. C'mon, why would an omnipotent God uses Adam's rib to create women when he could simply fashion her out of nothing? So now Eve's stuck being obedient to men by "nature?" How convenient. And placing all of the blame for sin and death on women's "disobedience" of a male god and "manipulation" of poor Adam? Eve was ridiculously punished for something as important as seeking knowledge. What kind of god forces labor pain onto females because someone wanted to learn? Why would God punish Eve's reproductive system, but not that of Adam? Viewed through today's lenses, the story reeks of hatred for women and their independence from men. It's clear that the misogynist authors were codifying their ancient views on women. I hope we've moved past that sort of crap.
A. It's allegorical. It's also sexist, yes. Lots of things in the Bible are. My favorite part of the story is how Eve was "punished" with the pain of childbirth. I mean, really... why not punish her by taking away her capacity to bear life entirely and give it to men who are obviously the more morally responsible gender anyway. :D
A. An emphatic Yes! Eve was framed, not only because men wrote the bible (with a rather heterosexist blueprint I may add) but because a choice between good and evil was neccesary to the development and progression of man (and woman) kind. Like so many other things, by definition, one cannot logically exist without the other. A balance of opposites is neccesary for the material and spiritual advancement of the human race. Interestingly enough, this process was intiated by a man or god who yet isn't a man. I refer to of course, the being known by many as Lucifer (literally, the Shining One, the Son of the Dawn, the Light-Bearer - you get the idea). Lucifer played the part of teacher and co-hort to an eager but not entirely naive Eve. Knowledge is Power and not a sin. Eve made the right choice. She should be praised, not derided or condemned. The Hebrews called her "Mother of All Living".
A. Even better is the Eve of John Milton's _Paradise Lost_. He has Adam and Eve arguing after the Fall. Adam says something along the lines of "If you'd just done what I TOLD you and stayed at home, none of this would have happened." And Eve lashes back, "Hey, you're the brains, I'm just a RIB--you should have MADE me stay at home!" (My paraphrase, of course.) Ol' Milty wasn't overburdened with admiration for the fairer sex.
A. Dear Gregdean, Actually if you read the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis. Although Eve was the one who ate the forbidden fruit, when the two hid from God- God asked Adam. Adam was in a sense more responsible for what happened because his job was to protect Eve. Although Eve bit into the fruit- Adam failed to do his job as a man in protecting her. And God punished both of them, and when he asked for responsibility- he asked Adam and not Eve. Adam tried to blame Eve. Anyhow though, upon close reading you'll find that the theory that Eve was framed is faulty- because in the Bible- God actually blames Adam for not protecting Eve. Hope that helps. Kindly, Nickster
A. yes she was framed. and the hide up of this Mary magdelene i thought it was here who found jesus (you know the ressurection bit) They both picked the forbidden fruit read the Quran
