Elle The Body Macpherson was discovered at the age of 18 while vacationing with her family. The six-foot tall Australian-born beauty was born on March 29, 1963 and was the eldest of four children. She studied law for one year at the University of Sydney before focusing on her modeling career. She gained international exposure in the late `80s when she posed on the cover of Sports Illustrated a record-breaking 5 times and through her constant appearance in every Elle magazine for six straight years; at the time Macpherson was married to Elle Creative Director Gilles Bensimon. The couple divorced in 1989, after being married for four years. Macpherson later had two sons, Arpad Flynn Alexander Busson and Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson, with her long-term boyfriend French financier Arpad Flynn. Well-known for her killer curves, the model appeared in Batman and Robin, had a re-occurring role in Friends as Joey`s roommate and girlfriend in the 1990s, and later started a successful lingerie line called Elle Macpherson Intimates.
