I love that movie and yea its only acting. I mean the director wanted to really show the world that some affairs aren't all sweet sneaking off into the night type of meetings. Sometimes they are rough and full of passion. Everything is intense and emotions are high. I mean look at her character with richard gere, she wasn't living that type of intensity anymore with him. It had become so familar and homely. But with the young guy it was refreshing and new. And wild and dirty. I say rewatch the movie and think about a time when you been in a relationship with someone for so long that you have lost all that wild crazy lust for each other and you are more like roommates or brother and sister. Then think about a time when you had really wild, hot sex with someone and it was so spur of the moment that you were absolutely crazy with lust and need you couldn't remember your own name. I'm sure once you think about all those times and rewatch the movie you will understand better.
