How come I recieved "3 thumb downs" asking if Chloë Sevigny is sexually attractive, and none when I asked the
same question about Diane Lane? I got 17 responses to the question about Lane, and 6 abotu Sevigny. What gives? How could my question be "bad" in one scenario and not another?

A. Did you ask the two questions at the same time of day? There is more to when you ask than most people realize. The "home" category carries all questions, and so the majority of responses, whether answers or thumbs ratings, take place in the first hour or so of the life of a question. Indeed, I think it is often in the first ten minutes or so.
