Discussion Anne Hathaway?

Q
Anne Hathaway The Devil Wears Prada Eye Makeup?
I love the movie The Devil Wears Prada, and obviously I adore all the clothes hair and makeup styles used on Anne Hathaway during the course of the movie. Does anybody know how to create the smokey eye effect used on her after Andy Sachs' transformation from the girl-next-door to the high styling fashionista. I need to know specific colors and if you know the specific brands and shades used please feel free to tell me. I already know the lip color used: Benefit Benetint Lip Balm and Dior's Positive Red Lipstick (in the last scene in Paris only: "To Be Us" I want to know the colors of eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner and how they might have been applied to her eyes. I love the look and have been trying it, but haven't gotten it right yet. Also if you do not know the specific shades of eye makeup can you please make some suggestions based on personal experience: etc. Thanks Respectfully Inquired, the perfect pitch soprano beauty addict.

You are asking for a lot of specifics that only the make-up artist that put it on her would know. Print out a picture of her with the make-up that you are talking about. Then go to your local make-up supplier. Compare the photo to the different color eye shadows. There would be either 2 or 3 colors used. The lightest cover is the base. This will be applied all over the eye lid. The darkest color would go closest to your lashes. You can either blend these two colors together to create a gradual transition from dark to light or you could had a third color that is in between the two shades. For the eye liner, find the color using the same method. Apply it after your eye shadow. Then add the mascara. Go with a brown/black not jet black mascara. Good Luck
