Discussion Alec Baldwin?

A. Both are wrong, him for saying it, her for releasing it.

A. no i don't think so. I think he was angry and fed up with the situation. its unfortunate that it was made public because we all speak differently to our family and friends than to strangers. also i bet kim has said a few things she regreted and is just lucky enough that they were not made public.

A. Kim said she did not release the tape but I still wonder

A. No, he's not. Raising a kid is very had. It's understandable to see he lost his temper.

A. Alec is an outspoken, opinionated, horrible Dad. I feel sorry for his kid. Kim didn't release the tape. Alec is cruel and a liar. He's just going around apologizing now to save his sorry @ss.

A. I think he is just really short tempered and impatient. I bet that sometimes he's really affectionate and other times he's vicious. Probably not a great parent...he is a bit too extreme.

A. He need to go into anger management...talking like that to anybody is unacceptable in my book.

A. He's certainly emotionally abusive... but so is her mother. She not only broke a court order by releasing the thing, she exposed her daughter to public humiliation and further shame... just to get the "upper hand" on Baldwin -doesn't seem as if she has her child's best interests at heart, either. I feel sorry for this girl... if these events are any indication, her parents are really horrible!

A. I heard the tape, and his language is inexcusable toward his daughter. I imagine he was totally pissed off and was experiencing blind rage, and the moral to the story is, don't say anything until you have had time to cool off. It did make me wonder, however, why the tape was released to the media in the first place...if Kim did it, it was very vindictive of her and she is as guilty as he is. Divorced parents can be vicious if they choose to be, and the real victim in it all is the children. So sad, they both need to grow up.

A. Alec has a quick temper and beyond that, we don't have the right to comment as we don't know how he is with his daughter the rest of the time. Everyone says stupid things, but Kim was MUCH worse for releasing the tape.

A. No! he isn't cruel all parents do stuff like this... he is just getting crap for it because he is famous.

A. He lost his temper and anyone who has kids can understand some of it. But the Kim was by far the worst to have the media hear what he said to her on the phone by releasing the tape. They are both scum parents. Differences between parents is between them, children need not to be involved. Growing up is hard to do and when you have all this out there in the open. Is not fair to Ireland.

A. I don't think he's a cruel dad, I certainly remember being 13/14 and saying everything under the sun to push my mom's buttons. I would have slapped me too, haha! So he just lost it, he's like any other parent of a teenager...it just happens to be that he's famous and is held to a higher standard.

A. This event just proves the old adage that you can never take back vicious words once you have said them. He has likely spouted off like that many times before...he just got caught this time. He is, at least, unthinking and uncaring about what he says and desperately needs a good anger management course.

A. no.. because thats what parents do soemtimes.. kids a brats and he was hurt by her actions one to many times... he just lost it without thinking that his wife would put it public... must be fun to be able to air all your dirty laundry in public?

A. #1 I don't think its anyone's business. That tape should never have been released. #2 I don't think he's a bad dad, I think like most parents, (and people) he lost it, and when you "lose it" you start yelling and saying things you really don't mean. (sources: me) #3 Kim shouldn't have released that tape, I personally think she should have talked to Alec, and kept her personal business her personal business. #4 If its true what Alec said, that he set a specific time with his daughter to talk to her, and he called her, and she ignored him, he had the right to get upset. #5 and last thing, I think Kim Basinger is a bitch, and so is her little brat of a daughter. I am sixteen years old, and I think it was wrong for Kim to release that tape, and Ireland to ignore her dad. I feel sorry for Alec, he is not a terrible dad as far as I know, now if he beat the day lights out of her for that that would be wrong, but he didn't.

A. He's a parent. Parents are human. Humans make mistakes. The fact that any of it was newsworthy baffles the mind.
